On July 17, 2010 Hoewa'a Outrigger Canoe Club held it's first Paddle for the Cure event at White Rock Lake. The Goal: Raise Awareness, Raise Funds.
With the help of our members, sponsors, volunteers and vendors the 2010 Paddle for the Cure was a success!
We are currently updating the website, but please check back in the next few day for news and updates.
We cannot say Thank You enough to everyone that made this event special and helped make it possible.
All of us in some way have been affected by this disease. Our club has been affected. Our club has a Survivor. She paddles for her health, her spirit, her future and her Family. Together, we paddle to fulfill our commitment -- to our wives, mothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, aunties, friends and teammates -- to continue the fight in hopes of eradicating this horrible disease called breast cancer. We Paddle for a Cure.
